Devonshire West Big Local ran its 8th round of Community Grants in spring 2019 and funded 9 new projects.
Find our more below.
Free exhibition, open daily 10am to 4pm.
The grant will pay for the delivery of a weekly lunch and social club at Seaside Community Hub.
This will cater for older residents and anyone who is feeling isolated, giving them the opportunity to meet people of all ages and backgrounds, socialise in a safe environment and make friends in their local area.
The Devonshire Collective will deliver two linked pieces of work in our Open Weekend & Development Project.
1. DC will engage a known fundraising consultant to apply for £20,000 SECADDS funding. This funding is specifically for appointing strong and experienced leadership, to take our Community Consultation outcomes forward as part of our longer-term business strategy and delivery plan.
2. DC will deliver a Community Consultation Open Weekend with targeted DW residents and community groups.

Reformed East Sussex CIC
Our project is referred clients from local services such as the East Sussex Probation Service, Substance Misuse Service, People Matter and Job Centre Plus to name but a few.
Each client is offered an Induction Appointment whereby we identify their needs and we then work out a plan for future appointments with key aims and goals to promote successful reintegration into the community. These appointments consist of CV Building and Criminal Disclosures.
We check our client’s wellbeing by asking them to complete a wellbeing questionnaire at regular stages of their engagement with us. This helps us signpost and support our clients in order to ensure that their reintegration back into the community is robust and a clear package of support is in place.
